The site is a settlement of multiple activities were performed,  associated with a Goya-Malabrigo occupation, dating from 1056 ± 47 and 1032 ± 47 years BP. The data indicate that the vessels have been primarily used for processing animal protein, which would have been supplemented with C3 plants. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados del análisis de isótopos estables (δ13C y δ15N), así como de los microrrestos vegetales encontrados en los residuos carbonizados de alimentos adheridos en fragmentos de alfarerías lisas y decoradas del sitio arqueológico La Palmera 2 (provincia de Entre Ríos, nordeste de Argentina). El sitio es un asentamiento de actividades múltiples datado entre 1056 ± 47 y 1032 ± 47 años AP, y asociado a una ocupación Goya-Malabrigo. Los datos obtenidos indican que los recipientes habrían sido utilizados fundamentalmente para el procesamiento de proteínas animales, las cuales se habrían complementado en menor medida con vegetales C3.
