In this paper we present the results of zooarchaeological studies on pinnipeds bone assemblages recorded at three sites located on the north coast of Santa Cruz. The initial trends regarding the capture, transport and exploitation of sea lions are presented and discussed within the framework of the occupation of the mentioned contexts by hunter-gatherer human groups during the middle and late Holocene. Results suggest the existence of variations in the exploitation strategies of the resources in the shelter spaces. These changes are observed in sites with different chronologies and according to the ranges, prey sizes and the distance to the procurement locations.  En los últimos años se implementó un programa sistemático de relevamiento del uso prehistórico de abrigos rocosos emplazados en las inmediaciones de la ría Deseado, en la provincia de Santa Cruz. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de estudios zooarqueológicos realizados sobre conjuntos óseos de pinnípedos registrados en tres sitios emplazados en la costa norte de Santa Cruz. Se exponen y discuten las tendencias iniciales respecto de la captura, transporte y explotación de lobos marinos en el marco de la ocupación de los mencionados contextos por parte de grupos humanos cazadoresrecolectores durante el Holoceno medio y tardío. Los resultados sugieren la existencia de variaciones en cuanto a las estrategias de explotación de dichas presas en espacios de reparo. Se observan diferencias en función de los rangos etarios, tamaño de las presas y la distancia a los espacios de aprovisionamiento para contextos con diferentes cronologías.
