From there, I propose a hypothesis on how writing has influenced Alejandra Pizarnik’s life, taking into account the paradigmatic example of James Joyce´s invention with his work of art. A partir del abordaje del nuevo imaginario al que Lacan nos introduce con el Seminario El sinthome, este ensayo pretende establecer algunas diferencias en relación al primer imaginario lacaniano para echar luz sobre el estatuto de este registro en la clínica actual. Desde allí, esbozar una hipótesis sobre el lugar que ha tenido la escritura en la vida de Alejandra Pizarnik, tomando el ejemplo paradigmático de la invención de James Joyce con su obra de arte.
