This framework helps identify the core categories of the concept and its potential for practical application and comprehension through process management within the school environment. The research describes the concept, principles, and elements of the school library under CREA model and its proposed library management approach. It was developed through a documentary review method, exploring the relationships between categories such as school library, learning resource center, and center for teaching and learning resources. The narrative includes findings from a systematic literature review, characterizing predominant models in school library management, constructing the CREA concept, and proposing pathways for managing and implementing the model's processes and subprocesses. The conclusion highlights the school library under CREA model as a valuable tool and strategy that facilitates collaborative and synergistic efforts within the school library, contributing to educational quality and the coherent realization of the school's social objectives. El propósito del artículo es presentar una construcción conceptual de la Biblioteca escolar bajo el modelo de Centro de Recursos para la Enseñanza y el Aprendizaje (CREA) que permita identificar las categorías centrales del concepto y su posibilidad de aplicación y comprensión a partir de la gestión por procesos en la escuela. Esta investigación tuvo como propósito describir el concepto, fundamentos y componentes de la biblioteca escolar CREA como modelo y propuesta de gestión bibliotecaria; se elaboró con base al método de revisión documental a partir de la profundización y relacionamiento entre las categorías de: biblioteca escolar (BE), centro de recursos para el aprendizaje (CRA), y centro de recursos para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje (CREA). Es así como la narrativa gira alrededor de los resultados de una revisión sistemática de literatura sobre la temática; la caracterización de los modelos predominantes en la gestión de la biblioteca escolar; la construcción del concepto de CREA; y por último, se propone una ruta para pensar los procesos y subprocesos en la gestión y aplicación del modelo. Se concluye que el modelo BE CREA es una valiosa herramienta y estrategia que posibilita el trabajo articulado y sinérgico de la biblioteca de la escuela en pro de la calidad educativa y la consolidación congruente del proyecto social de la escuela.
