Murillo Canda, Rodrigo de Jesús Palazio Galo, Edgar Fuente Historia local Archivo Hemeroteca Source Local history Archive Newspaper library The purpose of this article is to analyze and interpret the different sources present in the General Archive of the Nation, the National Newspaper Library of Nicaragua and other documentary and virtual collections that allow building the local history of Potosí and Buenos Aires, and their relationship with the sugar agroindustry.In the first instance, the analysis and synthesis method is identified, which allows to know deeply the realities that are studied and to organize it, according to the order of importance. Among other techniques, the method was used: Regionalization, oral history and the signing, which includes the extraction of key information for its assessment and use.The Archive and National Newspaper Archive are institutions that are governed by the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua, where you can access the documentary collections and collections of the Historical Archive to carry out different types of research. El propósito de este artículo es analizar e interpretar las diferentes fuentes presentes en el Archivo General de la Nación, Hemeroteca Nacional de Nicaragua y otros fondos documentales y virtuales que permitan construir la historia local de Potosí y Buenos Aires, y su relación con la agroindustria azucarera.En primera instancia, se identifica el método análisis y síntesis, el cual permite conocer profundamente las realidades que se estudia y organizarla, según el orden de importancia. Entre otras técnicas se utilizó el método: Regionalización, historia oral y el fichaje, la cual contempla la extracción de información clave para su valoración y aprovechamiento.El Archivo y Hemeroteca Nacional son instituciones rectorados por el Gobierno de la República de Nicaragua, donde se puede acceder a los fondos documentales y colecciones del Archivo Histórico para realizar diferentes tipos de investigaciones.
