Through a survey, the opinion of the students about the resource and its potential as a mediator in the understanding of the phenomenon was obtained. The results reveal that they recognize it as a useful resource to interpret the phenomenon and experimentally find Faraday's law while providing data for its redesign and optimization. En este trabajo se presenta y describe un Laboratorio Virtual desarrollado especialmente para favorecer el aprendizaje de conceptos y leyes asociados al fenómeno de Inducción Electromagnética (IE) en el ciclo básico de carreras de Ingeniería. Mediante una encuesta se recabó la opinión de los estudiantes sobre el recurso y su potencialidad como mediador en la comprensión del fenómeno. Los resultados revelan que lo reconocen como un recurso útil para interpretar el fenómeno de IE y encontrar experimentalmente la ley de Faraday a la vez que aportan datos para su rediseño y optimización.
