The experience was carried out with students in their last year of high school specializing in natural sciences from the city of Mar del Plata. Inquiry-Based Learning was taken as a didactic framework, which was very opportune to achieve several objectives sought in the teaching of science: propose a hypothesis, experiment, work as a team, among others. Throughout the work, procedural details are shown so that other teachers can replicate the experience En este trabajo los autores presentan una secuencia didáctica para hacer uso de un robot móvil radio controlado por celular con el fin de estudiar el movimiento, las fuerzas y la conservación de la energía del robot transportando una carga. La experiencia se llevó adelante con estudiantes del último año de la secundaria superior con especialidad en ciencias naturales de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Se tomó como marco didáctico de trabajo el aprendizaje basado en la indagación el cual resultó muy oportuno para alcanzar varios objetivos buscados en la enseñanza de la ciencia: hacer preguntas, experimentar, trabajar en equipo, entre otros. A lo largo del artículo se muestran detalles procedimentales para que otros docentes puedan replicar la experiencia.
