Sumario:The article presents a deck of cards about the electromagnetic spectrum and its applications, in two possibilities of games: “One radiation remains” and “Radiation battle”, in the context of initial teacher education. For this, the topic electromagnetic radiation was worked over six classes of 50 min each, within the discipline of Physics II for the course of Chemistry graduation at the Federal University of Acre. The sequence of classes included: 1) theoretical approach to electromagnetic waves, their characteristics and energy transport; 2) presentation of the electromagnetic spectrum, applications and curiosities; 3) moment of debate “FACT or FAKE?”; and 4) application of the proposed games. As a result, the greater participation of students in these classes stands out, bringing many comments and doubts about the topic. In addition, the game provided moments of dialogue and understanding about the radiation between the students themselves, while they played games. Finally, it emphasizes the importance of, during the regular disciplines of the degree course, the graduates have contact with different teaching methodologies and teaching resources, in particular the use of games, being applied by their teachers
