In total, 162 students answered the questions on the “Views on Science and Education Questionnaire”. After calculating the average ranking and standard deviation of responses for each of the items in the questionnaire, data interpretation was carried out based on eight aspects considered less controversial in the area of science education about scientific practice. The results indicate that, in general, the responses of the students tend to agree with empirical-inductivist conceptions of the Nature of Science. Finally, as an opportunity for future research, the necessary semantic analysis of the students' interpretation of some specific scientific terms used in the questionnaire is pointed out. Este artigo apresenta a análise de resultados de uma pesquisa sobre as concepções de Natureza da Ciência de estudantes de cursos técnicos integrados de nível médio de um Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia no Brasil. No total, 162 estudantes responderam às perguntas do “Views on Science and Education Questionnaire”. Após os cálculos de ranking médio e de desvio padrão das respostas para cada um dos itens do questionário, realizou-se a interpretação de dados com base em oito aspectos considerados menos controversos na área de ensino de ciências sobre o fazer científico. Os resultados indicam que, em geral, as respostas dos estudantes tendem a concordar com concepções empírico-indutivista da Natureza da Ciência. Por fim, como oportunidade de investigação futura, aponta-se a necessária análise semântica da interpretação dos estudantes de alguns termos científicos específicos utilizados no questionário.
