Through a questionnaire called the Test of Basic Scientific Literacy, 31 students from different physics courses in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, participated in data collection in two moments, initially in the second semester of 2019 and then in the second semester of 2020. Through statistical tests, it was verified the hypothesis of there being a differ-ence between the performances in the questionnaire in the two moments inferred. There was a significant increase in the mean number of correct answers, and, thus, possible hypotheses for the explanation of this event are discussed, as well as methodo-logical referrals that can help deepen the investigation. Apresenta-se os resultados quantitativos de uma pesquisa que teve como foco medir o nível de Alfabetização Científica de licen-ciandos de Física em um intervalo de um ano. Por meio de um questionário chamado Teste de Alfabetização Científica Básica, 31 alunos de diferentes cursos de Física do Rio Grande do Sul, no Brasil, participaram da coleta de dados em dois momentos, sen-do, inicialmente, no segundo semestre de 2019 e depois, no segundo semestre de 2020. Mediante testes de estatística, verifi-cou-se a hipótese de haver diferença entre os desempenhos no questionário nos dois momentos inferidos. Evidenciou-se um aumento significativo na média de acertos e, assim, discute-se possíveis hipóteses para explicação desse acontecimento, bem como, encaminhamentos metodológicos que possam auxiliar no aprofundamento da investigação.
