In a distanceeducation context such as the one in the Universidad Estatal a Distancia of Costa Rica, where most students are women, taking inconsideration STEAM education and gender approach to science teaching, it is decided to work with a feminized area of knowledge toteach physics: ballet. Through a design-based investigation methodology, an interdisciplinary process is structured, collaborating witha Maker Space of the UNED, the FabLab Kätrare, to develop a virtual reality prototype about two Rotational Mechanics topics in Ballet:the relation between mass center and static equilibrium and angular momentum conservation. An immersive virtual reality app isdeveloped, filming with a 360° camera, incorporating animations, theoretical explanations, ballet demonstrations and a game space.the prototype can be incorporated in game-based learning, distance education learning and teaching processes.
