In a distanceeducation context such as the one in the Universidad Estatal a Distancia of Costa Rica, where most students are women, taking inconsideration STEAM education and gender approach to science teaching, it is decided to work with a feminized area of knowledge toteach physics: ballet. Through a design-based investigation methodology, an interdisciplinary process is structured, collaborating witha Maker Space of the UNED, the FabLab Kätrare, to develop a virtual reality prototype about two Rotational Mechanics topics in Ballet:the relation between mass center and static equilibrium and angular momentum conservation. An immersive virtual reality app isdeveloped, filming with a 360° camera, incorporating animations, theoretical explanations, ballet demonstrations and a game space.the prototype can be incorporated in game-based learning, distance education learning and teaching processes. La realidad virtual y el aprendizaje basado en juegos tienen gran potencial para una enseñanza de la física que trascienda la transmisióndel conocimiento. En un contexto de educación a distancia como el de la Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica, donde la mayoríade estudiantes son mujeres, tomando en cuenta la Educación CTIAM, desde una enseñanza de las ciencias con enfoque de género sedecide retomar una rama feminizada del saber para enseñar física: el ballet. Mediante la metodología de la investigación basada en eldiseño, se estructura un proceso interdisciplinario en colaboración con un espacio Maker de la UNED el FabLab Kätrare, para desarrollarun prototipo de realidad virtual y abordar dos temas de mecánica rotacional en el ballet: relación entre el centro de masa y el equilibrioestático y conservación del momento angular. Se desarrolla un prototipo de una aplicación de realidad virtual inmersiva, filmada concámara 360°, que incorpora animaciones, explicaciones teóricas, demostraciones de ballet y un espacio de Juego. El prototipo puedeincorporarse en procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje a distancia de tipo aprendizaje basado en juegos.
