For the selection of topics, a theoretical analysis was carried out on the Common National Curriculum Base, more specifically on the Natural Sciences, so that it was possible to create learning expectations related to the specific skills and abilities of such document. At the end we made a comparison between the old material and the new material, showing a considerable increase in themes related mainly to astrophysics and astrobiology for this level of education, believing in this way, we are contributing to a contemporary teaching and of greater interest on the part of the students. students. Nossa pesquisa relata a forma como se deu a inserção de temas de Astronomia durante a elaboração de um material didático parao primeiro ano do ensino médio de uma instituição particular de ensino do estado de São Paulo, na área de Física. Para a seleção dos temas foi realizada uma análise teórica na Base Nacional Comum Curricular, mais especificamente sobre as Ciências da Natureza, para que fosse possível a criação de expectativas de ensino e aprendizagem relacionadas as competências e habilidades específicas de tal documento. Ao final realizamos uma comparação entre o material antigo e o material novo, evidenciando um aumento considerável de temas relacionados principalmente a astrofísica e a astrobiologia para esse nível de escolaridade, acreditando dessa forma, estarmos contribuindo com um ensino contemporâneo e de maior interesse por parte dos estudantes.
