Through a survey and an interview, it was inquired about methodological strategies, didactic material and evaluationsused in previous semesters. In addition, information was collected on the training needs and expectations of the students ofthe Industrial Engineering career for the course. With the information collected, an educational strategy was developed to implementunder the virtual modality, using the institutional platform Virtual Mediation. The proposal introduces the constructivist approach tothe curricular content "Oscillations and mechanical waves" under the virtual modality, using a sequence of activities that promotemeaningful learning in the student. The educational strategy was validated by an expert and evaluated by the students of the course.The results obtained show the presence of the constructivist approach in the elaborated proposal. Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una experiencia en el curso Laboratorio de Física General II de la Universidad de Costa Rica,Sede de Occidente, durante el segundo semestre del año 2020. Se realizó un diagnóstico a una muestra de la población estudiantil y alpersonal docente de la Sección de Física. Mediante encuesta y entrevista se indagó respecto a estrategias metodológicas, materialdidáctico y evaluaciones usadas en semestres anteriores. Además, se recolectó información de las necesidades y expectativas de formacióndel estudiantado de la carrera de Ingeniería industrial para el curso. Con la información recolectada, se desarrolló una estrategiaeducativa para implementar bajo la modalidad virtual, utilizando la plataforma institucional Mediación Virtual. La propuestaintroduce el enfoque constructivista para el contenido curricular “Oscilaciones y ondas mecánicas” bajo la modalidad virtual, utilizandouna secuencia de actividades que promuevan un aprendizaje significativo en el estudiantado. La estrategia educativa fue validada porun experto y evaluada por el estudiantado del curso. Los resultados obtenidos muestran la presencia del enfoque constructivista en lapropuesta elaborada.
