Qualitative in nature, the researchwas carried out in one of the technical schools in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and had the participation of teachers who taughtthe subjects of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, a pedagogical coordinator teacher and the school director. Through aquestionnaire, audio recording and documents, the research revealed that it is still necessary to face the challenge of overcomingthe need for a physical space to carry out the experimental activities; that these continue to play a motivating role for the classesand that these conceptions are strongly related to teacher education and experience; that there are possibilities for thedevelopment of experimental Science activities in technical schools from the integration of the managerial, pedagogical andteaching nucleus, regardless of the support of educational policies and teaching systems. O que revelou o processo de organização, por professores e membros da gestão escolar, de um laboratório de Ciências uma escolatécnica? Que possibilidades e desafios se mostraram aos participantes diante da busca por promover atividades experimentais aalunos do ensino médio de uma escola em que os laboratórios já existentes são de natureza técnica? De natureza qualitativa, apesquisa foi realizada em uma das escolas técnica do estado de São Paulo, Brasil, e contou com a participação de professores quelecionavam as disciplinas de Física, Biologia, Química, Matemática, professor coordenador pedagógico e o diretor da escola. Pormeio de questionário, gravação em áudio e documentos, a pesquisa revelou que ainda é necessário enfrentar o desafio de superara necessidade de um espaço físico para a realização das atividades experimentais; que estas continuam assumindo uma funçãomotivadora para as aulas e que estas concepções estão fortemente relacionadas a formação do professor e sua experiência; quehá possibilidades para o desenvolvimento de atividades experimentais de Ciências em escolas técnicas a partir da integração donúcleo gestor, pedagógico e docente, independente do apoio de políticas educacionais e sistemas de ensino.
