Verbal interactions between students from a Latourian perspective in an investigative workshop on Magnetism with kinescopes

In this work it will be presented and analyzed, from a perspective inspired by Bruno Latour's Sociology of Science, an investigativeactivity that was structured and developed using an STS approach (Science, Technology and Society), whose theme is the magneticforce which acts on charged particle...

A workshop was set up in the form of a series of investigationscarried out using cathodic tubes (kinescopes), which formed the images in the old analog televisions, with the programmatic contentof Magnetism being presented as a consequence of understanding this historical technological apparatus. From the transcripts of theaudio and video records of the workshop, verbal interactions of the students were analyzed, pursuing whether the Latourian perspectiveof the Sociology of Science is consistent with a proposal for teaching Physics that envisions the formation of an effective scientificculture.
