Sumario:Positioned in the organizational perspective of Higher Education and starting from a critical conception of the university curriculum, in this article we analyze the processes of curricular change that occurred in the university degree in Physics at the University of the Republic, Uruguay, between 1985 and 1995.In the period analyzed there were two curricular changes, in two different Faculties of this institution. Different logics operated in them: the first curricular change arose as part of a general reconstruction after the last military dictatorship that took place in Uruguay and the second from the founding of a new Faculty. The process is marked by a growing professionalization in an internationalizing sense and shows how different factors intervene in curricular changes: institutional, linked to curricular development and, with a prominent role, to the development of disciplines.
