In this work, we present a study carried out with 27 teacher educators from the Department of Phys-ics and Chemistry (FFHA-National University of San Juan), in the context of training future teachers of Natural Sciences. The objective of the study was to know the opinions of teacher educators on initial teacher training in Natural Sciences from the exchange of teaching and learning experiences, reflecting on strengths and weaknesses, to contribute to the process of modify-ing the study plans. This research becomes relevant in the current context of changes in teacher training careers in these areas at the national level. The results, in which the opinions of teachers in pedagogical training and teachers in disciplinary training are compared, show coherence between the difficulties identified and the proposals made to overcome them. However, it is necessary to advance in the reflection on the practice and in the concretion of the proposals for change, as a way to contribute to the improvement of teacher training. La formación inicial es una etapa de gran importancia por su incidencia en la construcción y apropiación de saberes y de herra-mientas para el desempeño profesional. En este trabajo, presentamos un estudio realizado con 27 profesores formadores, del Departamento de Física y de Química (FFHA-Universidad Nacional de San Juan), en el contexto de la formación de futuros do-centes de Ciencias Naturales. El objetivo del estudio fue conocer las opiniones de profesores formadores sobre la formación inicial docente en Ciencias Naturales a partir del intercambio de experiencias de enseñanza y de aprendizaje, reflexionando sobre las fortalezas y debilidades de la formación, a fin de contribuir con el proceso de modificación de los planes de estudio. Esta investigación adquiere relevancia en el contexto actual de cambios en los profesorados de esas áreas a nivel nacional. Los resultados, en los que se comparan las opiniones de docentes de la formación pedagógica y docentes de la formación disciplinar, muestran una coherencia entre las dificultades identificadas y las propuestas realizadas para superarlas. No obstante, es nece-sario avanzar en la reflexión de la práctica y en la concreción de las propuestas de cambio, como camino para contribuir en el mejoramiento de la formación docente.
