In this paper we present a teaching proposal for the active learning of geometrical optics, intended for second year students of secondary education. It combines ludic, experimental and metacognitive activities; and relates Physics with issues of daily life and other disciplines such as history, astronomy, mathematics, biology, art. All the activities can be achieved with affordable materials of daily use. En este trabajo se presenta una propuesta didáctica para el aprendizaje activo de la óptica geométrica, dirigida a estudiantes de segundo año de educación secundaria. La misma combina actividades en tono lúdico, expe-rimentales y de metacognición; relaciona a la física con cuestiones de la vida cotidiana y con otras disciplinas tales como la historia, la astronomía, la matemática, la biología, el arte. Todas las actividades pueden desarro-llarse con materiales de uso cotidiano, accesibles y de bajo costo.
