The purpose was to incorporate activities in which language played a role in the reflection, debate and communication of the contents worked. The value of the arguments made by student’s groups to questions about the movement of bodies is analyzed. The results demonstrate the need to revise the learning consignments and provide more guidance to students so that their arguments consider relevant evidence (justification), take into account the audience (persuasion) and consider opposing or alternative arguments (perspectivism). Se describe una experiencia didáctica desarrollada en un curso de Física en carreras de Ingeniería. El propósito fue incorporar actividades en las que el lenguaje cumpliera un papel en la reflexión, el debate y la comunicación de los contenidos trabajados. Se analiza el valor de los argumentos elaborados por grupos de estudiantes a preguntas planteadas sobre el movimiento de los cuerpos. Los resultados manifiestan la necesidad de revisar las consignas de aprendizaje y de ofrecer mayor orientación a los estudiantes para que sus argumentos consideren pruebas pertinentes (justificación), tengan en cuenta a la audiencia (persuasión) y consideren argumentos opuestos o alternativos (perspectivismo).
