| Sumario: | The present investigation was oriented towards the recognition of traits that, related to the development of certain cognitive skills, affect the modeling of physical phenomena, having as main axis the elaboration, treatment and analysis of Cartesian graphs in the framework of the experimental practices of first university course in physics education. A qualitative methodology was adopted based on a case study of three engineering students. It was evidenced that the aspects not yet developed in the construction of the graphic model, fundamentally the adoption of an adjustment curve, constitute obstacles in the moment of assigning meaning to the information contained in the GC, based on the conceptual knowledge available, conditioning the inter-connections between the graphic, mathematical and conceptual models. |
