En este trabajo se presenta una estrategia metodológica para el estudio del conocimiento profesional docente que incluye la obtención de datos desde variadas fuentes, en diferentes instancias del trabajo de un docente que lleva a cabo una innovación. Se define en primer término lo que se entiende por conocimiento profesional docente. Luego se profundiza en la descripción de cada herramienta. Se presentan también los primeros resultados del estudio realizado con el profesor que está desarrollando la innovación didáctica.
