In this way onesucceeds in crafting a minitheory that identifies energy with mutability, and that regards it, as well as its conservation, as the universal property of concrete things. The moral is that physicists and philosophers can learn from one another. El concepto general de energía es algo oscuro mientras se lo confina a la física, ya que cada capítulo de ésta define su propio concepto particular de energía. El concepto general se aclara si se lo relaciona con los conceptos hipergenerales (filosóficos) de cosa concreta y de mutabilidad. Así se logra construir una miniteoría que identifica la energía con la posibilidad de cambio, y que hace de ella, así como de su conservación, la propiedad universal de las cosas concretas. Moraleja: físicos y filósofos pueden aprender unos de otros.
