In it, we intend to analyze how the extractivist system impacts on the processes of reproduction of the daily life of the social actors of the city of La Calera. We also intend to recover the processes of struggle developed by the community in pursuit of the defense of the territory and the environment. That is, where the management, distribution and appropriation of natural resources and the guarantee of their rights are questioned. Finally, we conclude by reflecting on the challenges posed by the current context of civilizational crisis in the exercise of democracy and in the approach to problems from the perspective of Social Work. El presente artículo parte de nuestra intervención preprofesional realizada durante el año 2022, en quinto año de la Licenciatura en Trabajo Social. En el escrito pretendemos analizar cómo impacta el sistema extractivista en los procesos de reproducción de la vida cotidiana de los actores sociales de la ciudad de La Calera. También pretendemos recuperar los procesos de lucha que desarrolla la comunidad en pos de la defensa del territorio y del ambiente en donde se pone en cuestión la gestión, distribución y apropiación de los bienes naturales y la garantía de sus derechos. Por último, reflexionamos sobre los desafíos que presenta el contexto de crisis civilizatoria actual en el ejercicio de la democracia y en el abordaje de las problemáticas, desde el Trabajo Social.
