| Sumario: | In this article we intend to contribute to the reflection and debate on the possible links between Basic Income/Citizen's Income and Social Work.
It is indisputable that for some years now the proposal of Universal Basic Income (UBI) or Citizen's Income (CI) has been present to a large extent in different political and academic forums.
From the field of Social Work we have also witnessed a remarkable growth and popularity of this proposal and it is no wonder: witnessing daily the harsh living conditions of an increasingly significant part of the population, witnessing the failure of traditional policies to eradicate poverty, along with the increase in bureaucracy and difficulties in accessing most existing subsidies, are facts that have deepened the support and defense of the RB/CI increasingly from sectors related to Social Work. |
