Sumario:The work presents some characteristics of the study of sexual dissidences in Argentina from three perspectives: the socio-political, the identity and the formative. In the first of these topics, the relationship between dissident sexual-gender orientation and the apprehension of subjects to a unique and exclusive sexual order is addressed; in the second, the same is done with the characteristics that heterosexist dependence introduces in the identities of people who lodge their desires in those sexual orientations located outside heterosexuality; and, in the last one, the ways in which contents related to sexual dissidences are addressed and omitted in the disciplinary training of Social Work professionals are presented and analyzed. Each one of the axes is analyzed in the light of the notion of emancipation to reflect on the achievements and pending aspects that are presented as challenges in professional training.
