In this article, taking up part of the findings of recent qualitative research, we reflect on the impact of sociability networks on the configuration of young people's work trajectories, as well as on the differences established between them according to their greater or lesser density. We start from the assertion that the labour market excludes young people from popular sectors, and that this situation worsens for those who are in a situation of socio-criminal vulnerability because they have antecedents and carry a criminal sentence. Nevertheless, the social networks of these young people are configured on a series of survival strategies, anchored in their supports of proximity that compensate -or not- their precarious work and the fragility of the social protection system.
