The interest in the subject arises from the hypothesis that depending on the look that one has of the other, in this case of the subject of intervention, different approach strategies will be derived, which will allow to visualize the perspective from which it is intervened and the processes of interpretation of needs that involve. It is a look and not another that comes into play, while the commitment of Social Work is considered ineludible with the promotion of the full, equal and just exercise of rights. En el marco de aquellas posiciones que sostienen que en los campos socio-ocupacionales se expresan proyectos profesionales – teóricos, metodológicos, políticos y éticos- diferentes, en el presente trabajo se procura transmitir algunas reflexiones que surgen de la indagación y análisis de la concepción de sujeto que prevalece en las intervenciones profesionales en un escenario particular, como lo constituye un hospital público de la Ciudad de Córdoba (Argentina). El interés en la temática surge de la hipótesis de que según sea la concepción que se tenga de las personas con quienes intervenimos, derivarán diferentes estrategias de abordaje, las cuales permitirán visualizar la perspectiva desde la cual se interviene y los procesos de interpretación de necesidades que involucran. Es una mirada y no otra la que entra en juego, en tanto se considera ineludible el compromiso del Trabajo Social con la promoción del ejercicio pleno, igualitario y justo de los derechos.
