In order to achieve this, we will bring to attention some conceptual precisions introducing a historical and graphic focus, and an active attent to get back historical memory. Analyze the placement and arguments of main social work icons in addition of the topic, and giving some reflexions referred to its importance in actual context. Atendiendo al tema central de la convocatoria para la presente publicación, este trabajo estará orientado a la a reflexión sobre relación entre Trabajo Social, derechos sociales y Democracia, con especial atención a los fundamentos teórico-filosóficos en los que se sustentó esta relación en su proceso de profesionalización. Para ello, en primer lugar, se presentan algunas precisiones conceptuales para luego, desde un enfoque historiográfico, y un ejercicio activo de recuperación de la memoria, analizar el posicionamiento y argumentos de referentes clave del Trabajo Social respecto del tema para finalizar con algunas reflexiones referidas a sus implicancias para el ejercicio profesional en el contexto actual.
