The project was executed by a Secondary Education Biology team and comprised two stages. The initial stage involved  the creation of bibliographic material, while the subsequent stage focused on its socialization through the articulation between Higher Education and rural Primary Schools. This initiative resulted in the appreciation of fungal biodiversity, the reframing of knowledge production as an integral facet of teacher professionalization and the engadgment with ancestral Mapuche knowledge. En el presente artículo se expone una experiencia pedagógica en el marco del proyecto de extensión del ISFD Nº3 “Producción de material bibliográfico: Guía didáctica de hongos de la Patagonia Norte” realizado por un equipo de Educación Secundaria en Biología. El mismo consistió en dos etapas: la primera vinculada a la elaboración del material bibliográfico y la segunda se enfocó en la socialización del mismo mediante la articulación entre Educación Superior y Escuelas Primarias rurales. A partir de ello se registró la revalorización de la biodiversidad fúngica, la resignificación de la producción de conocimiento como parte de un proceso de profesionalización docente y la interacción con los saberes ancestrales mapuche.
