For this cuantitative analysis, theauthors considered the foliowing parameters: public or private school, province where the school belongs,subject evaluated. Results showed that there were no differences between the efficiency obtained by studentsfrom public or private schools, the subjeci that showed the highest difficuhy was "Ceil Biology", whilc thebest results were obtained in "Ecology aoci Evolution". El presente es un trabajo descriptivo en el que se analiza el rendimiento obtenido en el certamen intercolegialde las IV, y y VI Olimpíada Argentina de Biología (OAB). Para dicho análisis se tuvieron en cuenta las siguientes variables: provincia en la que se encuentra ubicado el establecimiento escolar, área temática evaluada, escuela pública y privada. Se concluye que no existieron diferencias entre los rendimientos obtenidos poralumnos de las escuelas públicas y privadas, el área temática de rosyce dificultad fue "Biología Celular"mientras que los mejores resultados se obmvieron en el área "Ecología y Evolución".
