El siguiente artículo ofrece información acerca de las familias y especies de saurios de la región comprendidaentre los ríos Colorado y Negro. Se describen características exomorfokígicas para la identificación de lascuatro familias representadas en la zona y se ofrece una clave sencilla para el reconocimiento de las doce especies presentes. El trabajo es parte de un proyecto educativo que tiene como principal objetivo estudiar ytransferir conocimientos científicos dee la flora y fauna de la región patagónica al aula, constituye en este sentido, un aporte para promover el abordaje de la diversidad biológica en la escuela.
