From there it had a sustained growth, for which raised the need to carry out an exploratory study to know the state of the situation, needs and demands of the associated teachers and, in this way, obtain objective information that guides the future lines of action of ADBiA. In this work -descriptive ethnographic study- the results, conclusions and recommendations are presented, arising from the inquiry made to the affiliates regarding: personal and family circumstances, socio-labor status, basic academic situation, situation in teaching, updating and improvement, and research and innovation activities. La Asociación de Docentes de Biología de la Argentina (A.D.Bi.A.) nace en 1993, con el prop&ito de trabajar para el mejoramiento de la enseaanza de la Biología. A partir de allí tuvo un crecimiento sostenido, porel cual se planteó la necesidad de realizar un estudio exploratorio para conocer el estado de situación, necesidades y demandas de los docentes asociados y, de esta manera, obtener información objetiva que oriente lasfuturas lineas de acción de ADBiA. En este trabajo -estudio descriptivo etnográfico- se presentan los resultados, conclusiones y recomendaciones, surgidas a partir de la indagación realizada a los afiliados en cuanto a:circunstancias personales y fansiliares, estatua sociolaboral, situación académica de base, situación que reviste en la docencia, actualización y perfeccionamiento y actividades de investigación e innovación.
