Escudero, Consuelo problem solving textbooks resolución de problemas libros de texto In view of the new epistemological and psycho-pedagogical conceptions, "problem solving" emerges as one of the didactic models that allows students to acquire significant knowledge. Therefore, a research on the characteristics of the problem situations found in Biology school textbooks is proposed. This work is based on the systematization of the analysis of the resolution of the problems proposed in twelve textbooks. Most of the problems analyzed have a textual formulation level, closed transformation level, with formal language, do not allow the work of alternative conceptions, the resolution method is generally verbal, the content pure. of natural context and admit, in general, functional analysis. Another aspect taken into account is the comparative analysis of the evolution of some editorial proposals, and three classes can be distinguished according to: the edition in relation to the Educational Reform, and the treatment given to the topics addressed. Frente a las nuevas concepciones epistemológicas y psicopedagógicas, surge "la resolución de problemas" como uno de los modelos didácticos que permite a los alumnos la adquisición de conocimientos significativos. Por lo que se plantea una investigación sobre las características de las situaciones problemáticas encontradas en los libros de texto escolares de Biología. Este trabajo se basa en la sistematización del análisis de la resolución de los problemas propuestos en doce libros de texto. La mayor parte de los problemas analizados poseen nivel de formulación textual nivel de transformación cerrado, con lenguaje formal, no permiten el trabajo de concepciones alternativas. el método ele resolución es generalmente verbal, el contenido puro. de contexto natural y admiten, en general, el análisis funcional. Otro aspecto tenido en cuenta es el análisis comparativo de la evolución de algunas propuestas editoriales, pudiendo distinguirse tres clases según se considere: u edición en relación con la Reforma Educativa, y el tratamiento que se da a los temas abordados.
