The research consisted of the analysis, through a mixed methodology, of Practice Diaries made by the teachers in training, where they had to present reflections on their professional practice. The hypothesis was that reflections on how to teach natural sciences were based on common sense and school biographies. The analysis allowed us to draw general conclusions as a basis for possible tools and instruments to promote reflective teaching practices as a fundamental input in teacher training. En este trabajo presentamos un estudio sobre la práctica docente de 31 estudiantes de un profesorado de primaria de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. La investigación consistió en el análisis, mediante una metodología mixta, de Diarios de la Práctica realizados por docentes en formación; en donde debían presentar reflexiones sobre su práctica profesional. La hipótesis es que las reflexiones sobre cómo enseñar ciencias naturales están sustentadas en el sentido común y las biografías escolares. El análisis permitió sacar conclusiones generales como base para posibles herramientas e instrumentos que promuevan las prácticas docentes reflexivas como insumo fundamental en la formación docente.
