Sumario:Currently, gardens in primary and secondary schools are a scenario for learning through direct contact and active experience of students with the environment. The aim of this paper is to socialize a university extension experience and systematize the analysis of two didactic strategies that have the Agroecological School Garden (ASG) as the territory of an institutional educational project in an elementary school located in a rural area of the Province of Córdoba, Argentina. The results show that the ASG  is a strategy that favors student motivation and collaborative work and that, within the framework of inter-institutional linkages, it is possible to address and strengthen practices that promote science education and contribute to the sustainability of the ASG.
