Sumario:This paper aims to present the formative process experienced within the scope of the Mandatory Curricular Internship III (ECO III) of the Degree in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil. In ECO III, readings and previous debates are held on the foundation, planning and development of strategies for teaching biology. In this article, we describe the experience carried out in third grade classes at a state public school in Goiânia / GO in approaching the contents of Ecology. We highlight the perspective of teacher training and the methodological course of the discipline that made it possible to achieve the objectives of the internship. Finally, the role of ECO III in the initial training of teachers is emphasized, especially the reframing of scientific knowledge and the teaching profession.
