In ECO III, readings and previous debates are held on the foundation, planning and development of strategies for teaching biology. In this article, we describe the experience carried out in third grade classes at a state public school in Goiânia / GO in approaching the contents of Ecology. We highlight the perspective of teacher training and the methodological course of the discipline that made it possible to achieve the objectives of the internship. Finally, the role of ECO III in the initial training of teachers is emphasized, especially the reframing of scientific knowledge and the teaching profession. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar o processo formativo vivenciado no âmbito do Estágio Curricular Obrigatório III (ECO III) da Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Federal de Goiás, Brasil. No ECO III são realizadas leituras e debates prévios de fundamentação, planejamento e desenvolvimento de estratégias para o ensino de biologia. Neste relato, descreve-se a experiência realizada em turmas da terceira série do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública estadual em Goiânia/GO na abordagem do tema Ecologia. Destacam-se a perspectiva de formação de professores e o percurso metodológico da disciplina que possibilitaram alcançar os objetivos do estágio.
