Sumario:In this thesis work the knowledge of students of Biology Science Teacher Training related to central contents of the field of Genetics is explored and analysed. Furthermore, and since textbooks continue being the usual source of study, the characteristics of the approach to these topics are investigated in the specific bibliography and links are established with the data provided by the students participating in the research. The data were collected through a questionnaire and documentary analysis. The research culminated with the formulation of didactic recommendations with the aim of providing a contribution for the improvement of the teaching of the already mentioned topics.
