Furthermore, and since textbooks continue being the usual source of study, the characteristics of the approach to these topics are investigated in the specific bibliography and links are established with the data provided by the students participating in the research. The data were collected through a questionnaire and documentary analysis. The research culminated with the formulation of didactic recommendations with the aim of providing a contribution for the improvement of the teaching of the already mentioned topics. En este trabajo de Tesis se exploran y analizan los saberes de estudiantes del Profesorado en Ciencias Biológicas vinculados a contenidos centrales del campo de la Genética. Además, y dado que siguen siendo la fuente de estudio habitual, se indagan las características del abordaje de estos temas en la bibliografía específica y se establecen vinculaciones con los datos aportados por el alumnado participante de la investigación. Los datos se tomaron a través de un cuestionario y el análisis documental.
