This study is particularly focused on the pedagogical content knowledge acquired by students of the professor training course -of Biology in this case-, since it is considered as an essential tool for the teaching profession. An attempt will be made to study what changes occur when the individuals are involved in the process of developing a Didactic Unit and its corresponding reflection, on a science theme involving modeling as a didactic strategy. El siguiente trabajo presenta un proyecto de Tesis que pretende analizar los cambios que se producen en el conocimiento profesional del Profesorado de Biología en el proceso de planificación, es decir, en el diseño de unidades didácticas que específicamente involucren la modelización. Es de especial interés el conocimiento didáctico del contenido de los y las estudiantes del Profesorado -de Biología en este caso-, ya que se lo considera como herramienta fundamental para el ejercicio de la labor docente. Se intentará estudiar qué cambios y cómo ocurren dichos cambios cuando los sujetos participan en el proceso de diseño de una Unidad Didáctica y de su correspondiente reflexión, sobre una temática de Ciencias involucrando la modelización como estrategia didáctica.
