Reflections were made, seeking to point out some assumptions, such as: epistemology / history, didactic transposition / recontextualization and teacher training. It is concluded that much still has to be matured in the field of didactic treatment of the undergraduate curricula, overcoming conceptual, epistemological, historical misconceptions, as well teacher education. In this context, such studies have the possibility of overcoming the obstacles for the field and development of a solid body of knowledge in the area of Didactics of Biology. Este artigo consubstancia uma pesquisa bibliográfica centrada nos escritos sobre Didática das Ciências e da Biologia, num interesse científico de fundamentar algumas confluências formativas na área, corroborado pela necessidade de maior atenção para o campo específico da Didática da Biologia. Trilhou-se reflexões, buscando apontar alguns pressupostos, como: epistemologia/história, transposição didática/recontextualização e formação docente. Conclui-se que muito ainda tem a ser amadurecido no âmbito do tratamento didático, dos currículos das licenciaturas, na superação de equívocos conceituais, epistemológicos e históricos, além da formação docente. Mediante o exposto, tais estudos têm a possibilidade de converter os obstáculos para o alcance e desenvolvimento de um corpo de conhecimentos sólidos na área da Didática da Biologia.
