| Sumario: | This paper show an educational research made with student that are currently attending high school (between 15 and 18 years old) in Río Cuarto city, Córdoba. This research analyzes and identifies the students´ conceptions of environment and environmental matters, and contrast between their cultural and educational knowledge. We use a categorization to identify the students´ conceptions as well as a questionnaire and photographs, and we also generated an open dialogue with the students. The results show that the specific and local environmental matters arte more cognitive and significant for the students to learn and they asume a better social commitment to solve the situations. |
