Changes made in their interpretations are triggered by teaching activities that promote the constructions of comprehension and argumentation showing important differences in learning regarding the knowledge of sciences and Biology are also evaluated in this paper. The work was done with a pre and post test design, using as indicators the different textual, discursive and metacognitive productions of the students (drawings, sketches, graphics and arguments). A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the answers along the teaching of a four-month period was carried out. Este trabajo, analiza las representaciones que alumnos universitarios (18-22 años) explicitan y sostienen sobre el conocimiento de la Biología y sus modos de producción, en una asignatura de primer año de una carrera universitaria de licenciatura en ciencias (UNRC-Argentina). Se evalúan los cambios promovidos en sus interpretaciones, a partir de actividades de enseñanza que promueven la construcción de nuevas categorías de comprensión y argumentación, mostrando diferencias significativas en los aprendizajes respecto del conocimiento de las ciencias y el campo de la Biología. Se trabajó con un diseño pre-post test utilizando como indicadores las diferentes producciones textuales, discursivas y metacognitivas de los alumnos (dibujos, esquemas, gráficos y argumentos) y se realizó un análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo de las respuestas a lo largo de la enseñanza en el cuatrimestre.
