Considering the importance of the students’ active role in thelearning of science, this work aims to analyze the practical activities related to Cell Biologypresented in high school Textbooks. The analyzed books are the first volumes of eightBrazilian collections approved by the National Textbook Programme (PNLD), 2012. Weidentified 41 practical activities, with heterogeneous patterns in the presentation of thetasks, as well as some differences in their location and structure within the collections. Theexperimental and demonstrative activities about cellular processes and the observationand representation of cellular shapes and components are frequent. No ambiente escolar, a realização de atividades práticas é favorecida quando há propostas em Livros Didáticos. Sob a perspectiva da relevância do papel ativo do aluno em processos de aprendizagem, este trabalho objetivou analisar atividades práticas relacionadas ao assunto de Biologia Celular, em Livros Didáticos de Biologia do Ensino Médio. Foram analisados os primeiros volumes de oito coleções didáticas brasileiras, aprovadas pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático de 2012 (PNLD 2012). Identificou-se 41 atividades práticas, constatando-se heterogeneidade de padrões de apresentação, assim como diferenças na localização e estruturação dessas propostas entre as coleções.
