A total of 249 students were interviewed, and their responseswere analyzed by the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) technique. As a result, 7 centralideas (CI) were obtained from each class in the urban school, representing 14 CSD. In the ruralschool, 15 CI and 15 CSD were generated. Students from both schools presented speeches andGW’s concepts focused mainly on pollution and environmental degradation caused by man. Thispoint was also reflected in the relationship established by students between the Amazonian regionand the GW. Este trabalho investiga a percepção de alunos dos anos finais (8º e 9º) do ensino fundamentalde duas escolas no município de Santarém, Pará, Brasil, em relação ao conceito de aquecimentoglobal (AG) e à relação deste com a Amazônia. Ao todo, 249 alunos foram entrevistados.A análise das respostas seguiu a técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC). Como resultados,foram identificadas 7 ideias centrais (IC) em cada turma da escola urbana, gerando 14 DSC. Enquantoisso, na escola rural, foram identificadas 15 IC, correspondentes a 07 DSC para o 8º anoe 8 DSC para o 9º ano. Os estudantes de ambas as escolas apresentaram discursos e conceitossobre AG voltados, principalmente, à poluição e à degradação ambiental causadas pelo homem,o que também foi refletido na relação estabelecida entre Amazônia e AG.
