The first teachers’ training workshop with eleven participants was held at AQUAVIDA – Interpretation Center of Regional Biodiversity -, in order to promote the experimentation of proper methodological aspects of Biology at Elementary Education. The workshop dealt with marine environmental diversity, and the animals present in waters of Bahía Engaño and its surrounding areas, with practices in situ. For this purpose, the themes studied were: knowledge of living organism diversity, characterization of marine species with Patagonian species, and implementation of conceptual development experiences, scientific observation, zoological register and integrating discussion. Teachers prepared lesson plans including practices in situ as a key strategy of teaching and learning.
