The aim is to compare the discursive strategies that are used both in provincial curriculum provisions as in the Biology textbooks of 11th and 12th grades, published by Canadian and American companies to teach evolution in British Columbia. Dado el tradicional liderazgo de las editoriales educativas estadounidensesen el contexto canadiense, en este artículo examino si –y eventualmente cómo- la controversia educativa, política e incluso jurídica entre evolucionistas y creacionistas es tratada en los libros de texto recomendados oficialmente en Canadá. El objetivo es comparar las estrategias discursivas que se utilizan tanto en las disposiciones curriculares provinciales como en los libros de texto de Biología de11° y 12° grados, publicados por empresas canadienses y estadounidenses para enseñar la evolución en Columbia Británica.
