Sumario:This paper analyzes the acquisition of ethnobiological knowledge and possible influences in the primary education curriculum. It is based on anthropology research and own experiences as educators. It is concluded that students, having their knowledge valued, learn and do it better with the  scientific concepts of the sciences, considering popular and local knowledge in the same level as scientific knowledge. Such didactic transposition starts from the initiative of each student and the interaction with the educator.
