It is based on anthropology research and own experiences as educators. It is concluded that students, having their knowledge valued, learn and do it better with the  scientific concepts of the sciences, considering popular and local knowledge in the same level as scientific knowledge. Such didactic transposition starts from the initiative of each student and the interaction with the educator. En este trabajo se analizan los saberes etnobiológicos y posibles influencias en el currículo de La Educación Básica. Está basado en investigaciones de la antropología y en la propia experiencia en calidad de educador. Se concluye que los estudiantes, teniendo sus saberes valorados, aprenden y lo hacen mejor con los conceptos científicos de las ciencias y consideran en el mismo nivel de apreciación a los saberes populares y locales con los científicos. Tal transposición didáctica de los saberes parte de la iniciativa de cada estudiante con interacción del educador.
